Sparta welcomes you to come and play the River Run Golf Course, formerly known as Sparta Municipal Golf Course, located in west-central Wisconsin just a couple of miles off Interstate 90. This beautiful municipal course has been given a three-star rating by Golf Digest, making it the most popular in the area.
The Golf Course was expanded to 18 holes in 1982 and has matured beautifully and is truly a pleasure to play. The front nine runs along Perch Lake and the back nine holes meander through cuts in mature stands of pine. You will enjoy the large bentgrass greens throughout. The four sets of tees per hole offer a 6,622-yard course from the champion tees and 5,473 yards from the forward tees so golfers of every level of play can enjoy a challenging but enjoyable round of golf.
The RR pro shop offers club and cart rentals. Our friendly staff makes every effort to see that your time on our course is pleasurable. Located right next to the River Run pro shop is the Greens Bar & Restaurant, offering daily lunch specials, a list of burgers sure to satisfy any taste, and a full-service bar.
